João Lacerda Matos

Master in Communication and Culture from ISCTE, PhD student at FCSH. A screenwriter by profession, he has been writing and creating fiction content for audiovisual since 2001. In the last 23 years he has written and created fiction content in the format of soap operas, series, telefilms and films for RTP, SIC, TVI, Shanghai Media Group (China), TV Zimbo (Angola), Cinemundo, NOS and OPTO, having worked with the main Portuguese audiovisual producers.

His creations The goods Girls Club, the_list and North Wind are available for streaming on Prime Video. The film Salgueiro Maia – the implicated is available on HBO Max.
He has worked as a Headwriter in several writing teams, as a script doctor, script editor and as a content coordinator for entertainment programs leading creative and content production teams. His most recent works are the series O Clube (OPTO) T6 and T7, the film Soares é Fixe! (NOS/Skydreams/RTP) and the soap opera Senhora do Mar (STUNNING FIELDS/SIC/SP). In 2024, two series for RTP are pre-production and post-production: Maria Luísa, a family drama, and Men of Honor, a historical series about Mário Soares and Álvaro Cunhal.
In 2023 he founded the production company STUNNING FIELDS LDA, audiovisual and film creation and production, of which he is co-CEO.
