Inspired by a real man, who lived and worked in Lisbon at the end of the XIX century, Chief Jacob tells the true story of an agent of the secret police who solved crimes considered unsolvable, using methods similar to those of Sherlock Holmes. Series inspired by true events.
Lisbon, Christmas Eve 1873. Piedade is stabbed and thrown to Barbaleda Alley, in the middle of a storm. Condemned to die in a holy night, she lies to the police, in an attempt to protect her killers' identity. She dies in the hospital, alone. Months latter, the still unsolved case is handed to Chied Jacob, one of the best agents in Lisbon Secret Police, known for never backing down from a difficult challenge. Meanwhile, the criminal Giraldinha roams the streets, wearing the deceased's boots.The series follows Jacob's works solving these and other crimes in a city full of well known criminals and crooks.
