Writer and director with a background in journalism. Holds a Master's degree in Sustainable Urbanism and Spatial Planning from FCT-Nova and a Bachelor's degree in Social Communication, specializing in Journalism, from ISCSP. PG in Visual Studies: Photography and Post-cinema at FCSH/Nova.
Over the past 22 years, she has written books, films, television series, online series, plays, documentaries, journalistic reports, and scientific articles. She has also directed short films and videos and conducted writing workshops. She worked in the newsrooms of Público, Diário de Notícias, and Jornal de Notícias (Lisbon).
Concerned with women's rights, domestic violence, and children's rights, she is the author and co-author of various stories and books aimed at young audiences, like Os Códigos do Mateus, the collections Alerta Premika, Cadernos Diários de Difícil Acesso and Romeu, the normal. She also wrote teens adaptations of the books Dracula, Frankenstein and Oliver Twist, and the children's stories Uma-poça-quase-lago-quase-mar, and Aisha. Her more recent projects as a tv and film writer are Men of Honor (Skydreams, RTP), Camarada Cunhal (Skydreams/RTP), The Good Girls' Club (as writing consultant, Santa Rita Filmes/OPTO), Broken Spies (Ukbar Filmes/RTP) Senhora do Mar ( SP Televisão/SIC) and Lucia of Fatima (Coral/SIC). She is the creator of young adults dramedy a_lista, and writer of North wind, streaming on Amazon Prime, among other projects. She has already worked for the Angolan an Chinese markets.
